It draws tracks Murdoch's and News Corporation's pursuit of conservative ideas, from Reagan and Thatcher to the Tea Party and its war on Barack Obama. It focuses on Murdoch's political influence and his political ideology with special reference to case studies of news and opinion on Iraq and climate change. It deals with the role of The Australian newspaper and Murdoch's political influence in Australia
